This workshop is for the emerging leader in music education to recognize, understand, and utilize their unique strengths. This workshop is for teachers who have had at least five years of teaching experience. Registration is limited to the first 25 registrants.

Topics will include:
● Defining leadership
● Identifying your leadership strengths
● Considering Diversity in Leadership including Gender, Ethnicity, etc.
● Contrasting the Introvert vs Extrovert Leader
● Using your leadership to tackle local, state and national issues
● Utilizing civil discourse within your leadership style

Workshop leaders:  Judy Bush, NMEA Past President & current NAfME North Central President and Lance Nielsen, NMEA Past President & Past North Central President

NMEA IMAGE CONSENT POLICY:  NMEA records video and takes photographs during its events to use in our publications and broadcasts, such as the Nebraska Music Educator magazine, the NMEA website, etc.  Submitting an application or registration requires consent to allow any images taken during the event to be used by NMEA.  Video or audio recording of any event, session or performance is strictly prohibited unless it is NMEA authorized personnel.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  There will be no refund of registration fees, unless the refund request is due to a personal or family emergency (defined as death or illness of an immediate family member, or other similar circumstance). If the NMEA Board of Directors deems the request a legitimate emergency, the refund will consist of half the registration fee paid by the individual.
